It’s been posted to Facebook but not here. We are having our official opening December 19, at 6pm. We’ll have live music from Dennis Tibbits and Lyle Deiter, we’ll serve mocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and we’ll have beautiful art that reveals a story about friendships built among artists.

Mocktails are something that we want to try in lieu of wine. We are surrounded by drink venues, so getting a mixed drink, a beer, or a glass of wine is an easy feat. We feel that’s a void we don’t need to fill, plus, we just want to be different.

We’re exciting to finally share our space with the public, We’re doubly excited that Shelley is bringing her 1st Wednesday Poetry Series home to River & Word. We can’t thank Dena’s Art Den enough for hosting it while we were undergoing rennovations here at 219 N. Muskogee Ave.

So, be sure to catch poetry and open mic, hosted by Shelley Nation and featuring Quinn Carver Johnson on January 7 at 6:30 pm.
